Nuclear Physics Advisory Panel


The Nuclear Physics Advisory Panel is charged with providing advice to the STFC panel PPAN on the scientific strategy for the Nuclear Physics community, including future projects.

The scope of the science covered by the panel includes; Nuclear Structure, Nuclear Reactions, Nuclear Astrophysics, the nature of the Quark-Gluon-Plasma, the Structure of Hadrons (see Physics Questions).

A series of meetings have taken place, and input from the community to the strategy has been extremely important.

The first Report to PPAN was submitted on the 14th September followed by an oral presentation 28th September 2009. The full report can be found here [PDF: 3.8 MB].

Feedback from PPAN will be provided at the end of November/early December 2009.
